Tex-tiles sometimes take part in exhibitions or are shown in publications. Here is a glimpse of some of these occasions. 

Hong Kong Science Museum

Hong Kong Science Museum bought a panel of tex-tiles to include it in their exhibition of Material Tales. 05/23

 

 

NEOM

NEOM Saudi Arabia bought a big panel with a variety of tex-tiles to show and demonstrate it to architects & other designers as an inpiration for use of materials. 06/22

 

Ariadne at Home

Tex-tiles are presented in the Ariadne at Home edition of February 2017 on page 75. In a special about bathrooms they explain how tho make a ‘Dream Bathroom’. Text: Myla Griese 02/17


Goods 2

We are very proud to announce that Tex-tiles by Barbara Vos are presented in the Goods2 of Frame Publishers, the go-to global reference for designers and interior architects. Designkwartier

Tex-tiles were presented at the Designkwartier, at The Hague, The Netherlands. Designers presented their work in the cozy area called Zeeheldenkwartier. With a croup of collegue-designers from Atelier-building the Besturing organised a group exhibition. There was a chain of design; Barbara designed a tile, a collegue added a embroidery on it, another collegue added felt dots, etc. 06/15

 


KABK

During the KABK Open Day of 31 january 2015 work is presented of students and graduates. Tex-tiles by Barbara Vos are shown at the Post Graduate Course for Industrial Design. Tex-tiles are translucent porcelain tiles with textile imprints. 01/15

 

 

 

New York

Tex-tiles are presented in the showroom of Alchemy Materials, New York. Alchemy Materials is a specialty tile showroom located in the heart of Manhattan’s Chelsea/Flatiron design and shopping district. The showroom features an array of distinctive materials, each an exemplar of craftsmanship. Their focus is on enthusiastic and informed collaboration with trade and retail clients. 11/14

Intercodam

Tex-tiles are shown at luxury sanitary and tile showroom Intercodam, Amsterdam. The translucent white tex-tiles are presented on a wall with switches, so people can test the difference with lights turned on or off. An example of installation with led light armatures is also shown. 10/14

 

 


FIAT

Tex-tiles are submitted to the material library of Centro Stile Fiat Group Automobiles, as an innovative inspirational material for the design team of the automotive industry. 03/14

London

Tex-tiles are submitted to the material collection of SCIN Gallery in London. SCIN Gallery is a materials Sourcing and Advisory Gallery. SCIN Gallery finds new materials and show them to Architects, Designers and Specifiers in an inspirational and informative way. 12/13


Elle Inside Design

Tex-tiles joined the Elle Inside Design Week at the Showroom of Intercodam, Amsterdam. 09/13

 

 

 

EKWC

Sundaymorning@ekwc is an international workplace where artists, designers and architects explore the technical and artistic possibilities of ceramics. Studio Barbara Vos will do a research to develop the mass production of tex-tiles. 04/13

TegelTotaal Valencia

Designer Barbara Vos gives an interview at Cevisama Tile Fair 2013, at Valencia, Spain. This resulted in a publication by TegelTotaal. 03/13

 

 


Consept

Consept writes about Haags Werk, a group of designers who presented themselves at the international furniture fair at Milan. Haags Werk consisted of Geanne Welles, Tiddo de Ruiter, Dennis Slootweg and Barbara Vos. Consept 05 of CSDH, Cultural City The Hague. 02/13

Tegels.com

A wall of translucent ‘tex-tiles’ is presented at the showroom of Tegels.com at Oisterwijk, near Tilburg. A random patchwork of ‘tex-tiles’ is lit from behind by LEDlights. This results in a soft light at the frontside of the tile. 11/12

101 Woonideeën

Tex-tiles of Studio Barbara Vos were published in the July 2012 issue of 101 Woonideeën. This reportage tells about a variety of different white tiles (page 101). 07/12 

 

 

 

Milan, Italy

In Milan, Studio Barbara Vos presented her tex-tiles to the audience at the Salone del Mobile. Two panels were shown with a variety of textures of tiles. Some tiles were back lit to see the effect even better. 04/12

 

 

Material Xperience

Tex-tiles are presented in the Materia Yearbook 2012. This book will be presented and sold at the Material Xperience in Ahoy Rotterdam from 25 – 27 janurai 2012. Material Xperience is a yearly materials event for architects and other creative professionals organized by Materia. 01/12


Magna Plaza

Studio Barbara Vos showcases her Tex-tiles at the Magna Plaza with Tuttobene from April 28th until May 15th 2011. This exhibition is a reprise of the exhibition in Milan at the Salone del Mobile during the International Furniture Fair 2011. 04/11

 

Nu.nl

Studio Barbara Vos is interviewed by nu.nl during the Salone del Mobile in Milan from 12th till 17th of April 2011. Barbara Vos is presenting her translucent porcelain wall tiles: tex-tiles. 04/11

 

 

Wonen&Co

Tex-tiles are published in ‘Wonen&Co’, an appendix of ‘Dagblad van het Noorden‘, a Dutch newspaper on 9th of april 2011. ‘Wonen&Co’ tells about Tuttobene’s group exhibition in Milan, Italy, during the 50th edition of the International Furniture Fair, Salone del Mobile 12th-17th April 2011. 04/11


Agahuis

The tex-tiles, translucent ceramic wall tiles, are shown at Agahuis, Ellecom. The tex-tiles perfectly match the robust Aga ovens. The tiles combined with the Aga oven creates a friendly authentic mood in your kitchen. 04/11

Salone del Mobile

The Tex-tiles were shown to the big public at the the International furniture fair, Salone del Mobile, Milan, Italy. A big wall was presented full of tex-tiles, some of them with led lights at the backside. 04/11

Klei

Tex-tiles are published at Klei Ceramical Magazine of March 2011, nr 2, page 14, written by Barbara Bunskoek. 03/11

 

 


London MET

Tex-tiles are submitted to the material collection of the Material Library of the London Metropolitan University. 01/11

 

 

Intermezzo

During the exhibition ‘Hardware’ the tex-tile experiments are shown together with a panel of the final product. From 5th september – 3th October 2010. 10/10

 

Dutch Design Week

Studio Barbara Vos was participant of the Dutch Design Week. Her work was presented at the material library of ‘Material Matters’ located at the library of Eindhoven, opposite the Design Academy. 10/10


Pastoe

Tex-tiles showcases the experimental proces and the making of the tiles at the Toonkamer of Pastoe. The Toonkamer is an inspirational centre for interior design, with furniture and materials for architects. 07/10

 

Voor de Kunst

‘Voor de Kunst’ is the smallest museum of Holland, in an old telephone booth in Delft. The experimental process and the making of tex-tiles are shown during the whole month of July 2010. Galerie voor de Kunst, Oude Delft 140, 2611 CG Delft. 07/10

Gallery Walls

Studio Barbara Vos presents and sells her tex-tiles at Gallery Walls during the exhibition ‘Multiple Choice’ from 27 October till 18 December 2010.
